Research on Dallas Metroplex Schools

The Texas Education Agency publishes School Report Cards for every school year. Their website explains that they gather information for these report cards based on “accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance”.

On the report card, they provide grades (0-100) for Student Achievement, School Progress, Closing the Gaps, and Overall Rating. The Texas Education Agency defines the Accountability Ratings as a measure of “how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school or district prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce, or the military.”
